Reach Out America – Text Message Terms

  1. Program: Reach Out America, a 501(c)(3) disaster-relief nonprofit based in Sugar Land, Texas, sends recurring text messages to people who opt in: disaster deployment alerts, volunteer schedule reminders and changes, and updates for volunteers, partner churches, and donors.

  2. How to join: Check the optional "Yes, text me!" box on our ROA Text Alerts Sign-Up form (linked from https://www.reachoutamerica.org/text-signup), or text JOIN to (855) 586-3930. Consent is not required to volunteer, donate, or receive assistance.

  3. Frequency: Message frequency varies, typically 2–8 messages per month, and more during active disaster responses.

  4. Cost: Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.

  5. Opt out: Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) at any time. You'll receive one confirmation and no further messages. Reply START or JOIN to resubscribe.

  7. Carriers: Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
