NC Mountains Medical- Oct 2024
Recovery takes time. Whether it is a loss or an emotional difficulty, the lasting impact seems to take much longer than you expect. The southeastern United States has been hit with a double whammy; Hurricanes Heleme & Milton have done their damage and now many families are working to recover.
Reach Out America is here to help.
The area is vast, and the damage is extensive. We realize we are only part of the recovery effort. Local churches and congregants are heavily engaged in helping their neighbors, and churches are helping churches. We are actively involved in providing a variety of resources to all of the areas affected by disasters.
Hurricane Helene and Milton
Flordia has taken the lion’s share of difficulty because of these two hurricanes, one starting with them, the other focusing exclusively
on them. We have delivered the product to Perry, Florida, and have another load coming next week for the surrounding communities. They have also shared with Valdosta, GA, and will next week. This week and next, we are delivering food, water, and supplies from our partners into the Tampa area.
Unexpectedly, Tennessee and North Carolina have also been heavily impacted by Helene. We are providing PPE equipment for the local fire and rescue teams to set up aide stations in the mountains of NC. The product will be ferried into the hardest-hit areas in the mountains. We have delivered to the community depot at the Bristol Speedway, which is open for anyone in the area and into Kingsport, TN. They have loaded products into pickup trucks driven over into hard-hit areas and have gone door to door in some areas to deliver products to families working to recover.
We Continue to Serve
Reach Out America has trucks on the road this week and next, delivering product into Florida, Tennessee and North Carolina in an ongoing effort to help families recover.
To Our Many Volunteer Partners -
We want to say thanks to the many of you who have given to help us help them. We have had a number of churches coordinate through us to deliver supplies directly into the hardest hit areas, and we have received donations from churches and individuals to help us provide shipping, local trucks to deliver the Last Mile directly into neighborhoods, and 40 generators to Georgia, which was hit with widespread, long-lasting power outages.
Our primary supplier, Feed The Children, has stepped up to help us help these damaged communities. Our shipping partner, UPS Foundation, has again risen to the challenge and has driven thousands of miles delivering supplies.
To the Reach Out America core volunteer team, we want to say thanks as well. Our unpaid volunteer team works tirelessly in disasters to find and deliver supplies where they are most needed and can do the most good. Our core team members are the cream of the crop.
Thanks
We could not do it without all of you!
Texas Flood Relief - April 2024
TX/OK Smokehouse Creek Fire
Reach Out America is actively responding to the wildfire in Texas and Oklahoma. We are currently partnering with churches in Texas, the UPCI Texas District, and Feed the Children and are filling a warehouse with truckloads of water, 22 pallets of goods, and a truckload of 30 buckets that YOU helped us fill at NAYC in Saint Louis, MO last year! We have created a POD in Pampa, Texas and your help would be greatly appreciated!

Northern Mississippi Devastation
In a disaster, Reach Out America finds churches in and around a disaster zone to partner with. Being a partner means we deliver emergency supplies to your congregation to use and distribute into the community around them. Our goal is to multiply the impact of the local church in the community. Churches and church families can often be overwhelmed by the damage and destruction around them, and local resources can be stretched thin just trying to recover.
With ROA’s corporate partners, we can leverage dollar donations into the delivered products by the semi-truck load, allowing the local church to be a resource for community resiliency, becoming the hands and feet of Christ in overwhelming circumstances. We train and coach local volunteers to deliver massive amounts of supplies in an immaculate and precise manner.
Special Thanks
We want to thank the Ladies Division, The Children’s Ministry, and the Youth Division for helping us this year to serve the needs of the churches of Mississippi through their allocations. Their gift will benefit the people of Mississippi, as they have been to those impacted by the train disaster in Ohio when we were able to deliver water to families dealing with the fear of polluted wells in the disaster area.
You can help us help them with your donation.
Every dollar donated will be multiplied through the delivery of emergency supplies. A dollar donated will result in $20 of emergency supplies delivered to hurting families.
We thank our partners UPS Foundation and Feed the Children, for their assistance in sharing resources and shipping to help hurting families.

Reach Out America partnered with Bethel Apostolic Church in Amory, MS, to deliver emergency supplies to a hard-hit area. As with many disasters, many organizations respond. We are thankful that the church in Amory responded again in partnership with us and others to provide emergency aid to those impacted by the recent tornadoes.
There are several tornado zones where we are working to provide aid shortly. Your help moves this forward. Reach Out America supplies aid through local churches and community support groups. We are contacted by pastors or community leaders requesting help. We connect with corporate donors or deliver emergency supplies to disaster areas.

IN DELIVERING IMPACT
East Palestine Train Derailment
“Our partner, Niagara Bottling, has offered to continue bringing water into the area and maybe bringing it into the surrounding communities as well,” says Mark Johnson, National Coordinator for Reach Out America.
Reach Out America is also looking at bringing water to affected communities in Pennsylvania.
BEAVER TWP., Ohio (WKBN) — On Saturday, volunteers gave bottled water to anyone who needed it at Beaver Local Schools’ sports complex.
Point of Mercy Church in Lisbon partnered with Reach Out America to bring pallets of bottled water in, sponsored by Feed the Children.
Reach Out America made a trip to Arcadia, Florida to view some of the hard-hit areas off the beaten path. We met with Pastor Ric Sears, who took us on a short tour to see some of the causes of the devastation, the Peace River, and the devastation that 100-plus-mile-an-hour winds plus 14-20 inches of rain can do. Some ranchers lost 1,000 cows that were stranded in fields. We saw orange groves with oranges scattered on the ground and houses and commercial buildings destroyed. Here is our LIVE footage reviewing the river of the storm’s impact and some of the images we captured. Florida is still in great need of recovery and assistance. Please continue to donate and support the local churches in that area.
Hurricane Ian - victims still recovering!
“It’s the purpose of the church to be the hands and feet of Jesus. What better way for people to see what the church is about - than during a disaster.”

Our family extends across state lines
Please give today if you’re in a position to help a family significantly affected by Ian’s destruction. While the news stations may move on, ROA will move on when the needs are met. Your gift will make an impact.
